(Minghui.org) Listening to a fellow practitioner at today's Fa study helped me gain a new understanding of what Master said, “They will distinguish the righteous from the evil, obtain true teachings...” (“Enlightenment” from Essentials for Further Advancement)
Master said, “In the muddy human world, pearls and fish eyes are jumbled together.” (“Enlightenment” from Essentials for Further Advancement). I used to think that those who undermine Dafa or harm Dafa disciples are evil. I now realize that good and evil coexists within each one of us.
The evil within us are human notions we have formed in this degenerated, chaotic world, as well as the attachments and thoughts that don't comply with the Fa of the new universe.
Our goal is to eliminate these bad substances so our goodness can emerge. We will be filled with compassion and be able to forebear. We should not confuse good and evil, truth and lies, thus losing our true selves. When we do things with human notions, we do not carry the power of Dafa and will not be as effective in saving sentient beings.
Only if we are able to distinguish between good and bad, constantly clear out the bad substances, and come closer to our original true selves, can we eliminate the bad notions and be free of the old Fa. Otherwise, we will not be able to obtain the true teachings.
We have to cultivate ourselves diligently. Regardless of what type of problems we encounter, or what other people say about us, we should always examine ourselves and look within for human notions. We should always strive to meet the standard of the new universe. Only by doing so can we find our original true selves, save more sentient beings, and return home with Master.
