(Minghui.org) Police in Guiyang City have been visiting the homes of Falun Gong practitioners, demanding to take blood samples.
Three officers visited the home of Mr. Xu Shaoping on the afternoon of September 23, 2014. A female officer, Tian Xiaona, from the local police station said to him, “We want you to cooperate and let us take some of your blood for testing.”
“Why do you want my blood? Are you a doctor? Do you take blood from everyone? Why don't any of my neighbors need to do it? Do you have a document authorizing you to do this? If so, let me see it! I cannot cooperate with you.” replied Mr. Xu.
When an officer heard this refusal, he told the others, “Take him away.”
Mr. Xu then questioned them, “Am I a criminal? Are you trying to persecute me? Those who have persecuted practitioners are meeting with retribution. Why are you still doing things like this?”
The officers called for assistance, and several more arrived. Mr. Xu said to one of them, “Police should be protecting people. Now they are trying to take my blood for no reason. Please protect me.”
“Who ordered this?” the officer asked Tian Xiaona. “It was Director Qiu,” Tian replied. “This man won't cooperate and wants to see an official document.” She then quietly said to the officer, “There is no such document.”
Another officer tried to get more help, but his radio didn't work. After over an hour of communicating back and forth with the police station, the officers eventually left without drawing any of Mr. Xu's blood.
Tian also stated they had already had samples from three other practitioners.
Officers from the Shachong Police Station broke into Mr. Wu De's home on September 26, 2014 wanting to take a sample of his blood, but Mr. Wu refused.
