(Minghui.org) On the occasion of the 15 th World Falun Dafa Day, Mayor Martin J. Walsh of the City of Boston, Massachusetts, proclaimed May 13 th , 2014, to be World Falun Dafa Day in the City of Boston.

Boston Proclamation

Whereas: Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, was introduced in China in 1992; and

Whereas: Every year, on May 13th, World Falun Dafa Day is celebrated around the Globe; and

Whereas: At its core are universal principles of truthfulness, compassion and forbearance; and

Whereas: This peaceful, holistic self-cultivation practice consists of moral teachings, sound meditation and gentle exercises; and

Whereas: The idea of self-cultivation practice is rooted in China’s three spiritual traditions of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism; and

Whereas: In striving daily to live by these principles, and by practicing the meditation exercises, many people have experienced profound changes in their lives; and

Therefore: I, Martin J. Walsh, Mayor of the City of Boston, do hereby proclaim May 13th to be World Falun Dafa Day In the City of Boston.

I urge all of my fellow Bostonians to join me in acknowledging China’s spiritual discipline in the City of Boston.
