(Minghui.org) Police officers from the Wukeshu Town Police Station in Yuhsu City, Jilin Province have, during the past 15 years of the persecution of Falun Gong, made over 40 arrests of local practitioners. Half of those arrested were practitioners over 60 years old. More than ten of the arrested practitioners were later tortured in forced labor camps.
On politically sensitive days or days when important assemblies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were held, the chiefs, officers, and staff of the Wukeshu Police Station would launch mass arrests of local Falun Gong practitioners. They illegally broke into the practitioners' houses or fired guns into the air to threaten them into opening the doors. Many times they ransacked the practitioners' houses to collect the so-called evidence of their crimes – usually Falun Dafa books and materials.
Before the CCP's 18th National Congress, the Wukeshu Police Station sent out four police cars with over 20 police officers just to arrest Xu (first name unknown), a practitioner in his sixties. The police found a locksmith to pry open Xu's door, and ransacked the house.
During the fall harvest time, the police arrested Mr. Zhao Ximin at his home and locked him in a brainwashing center. Mr. Zhao's mother was in her nineties, and his wife was ill. The police refused to release Mr. Zhao and his crop was ruined.
The table below lists the practitioners arrested by officers from the Wukeshu Police Station along with the number of arrests and times detained in forced labor camps.
