(Minghui.org) Officers from the Changfeng Police Station in Wanbailin District, Taiyuan City arrested Ms. Ji Guozhen, a 62 year-old Falun Gong practitioner, from her home on March 10, 2014. The police claimed that they were following orders.
Ms. Ji was initially reported for clarifying the facts to people four days earlier, on March 6, 2014 and Wenmiao Police Station officers arrested her. Her family members went to Wenmiao Police station on March 7. Her husband was forced to sign a “Guarantee Statement” on her behalf, and she was released on the morning of March 8. Barely a week later, Ms. Ji was arrested again. It was said that she was held at Taiyuan Detention Center.
Prior Arrests and Detention
Ms. Ji is retired from the No. 2 Construction Group with the China Chemical Corporation. She has been arrested four times since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, and has been in brainwashing centers and forced labor camps and been subjected to torture.
Ms. Ji went to Beijing to appeal to the government to clarify the truth about Falun Gong on October 26, 1999. When she was passing through the ticket check-point at the Taiyuan Railway Station, police officers interrogated her and searched her body and bag. She was arrested and held at the station police station overnight and interrogated. The following day, Peng Changhai, head of the Hepingnanlu Police Station under Wanbailin Police Department; Bao Hongbin; and others took her to Taiyuan City Detention Center for 15 days.
Officers Huo Keyi and Peng Changhai from the Hepinglu Police Station, under Wanbolin Police Sub-Bureau, and other officers broke into Ms. Ji's home on March 5, 2001. They arrested her and took her to the brainwashing center inside Tiancheng Men's Forced Labor Camp, where guards Cui Ying, Xu Yong, Li Fue, Song Bianai divided into two groups to torture her. They poured cold water over her, forced her to run for a long time, sent dogs to bite her, forced her to stand facing the wall, and forced her to stand in the hot sun. After Ms. Ji had been in the detention center for more than 200 days, on September 12 that same year, she was sentenced to three years in Xindian Women's Forced Labor Camp in Taiyuan.
On April 12, 2010, Ms. Ji was reported when she was handing out Shen Yun DVDs to pedestrians. Xiaojingyu Police Station officers arrested her. Her home was ransacked, and her new computer was confiscated. After that, she held in a forced labor camp for one year.
Officers from the Wanbailin Police Department and the Xiaojinyu Police Station were involved in persecuting her.
