(Minghui.org) In Chinese history Yue Fei exemplified the meaning of loyalty and righteousness by living it. He was not only loyal to his emperor, but also to his fellow citizens. He faced brutal persecution with courage, endured unbearable tortures, and was lastly skinned alive. His heroic death left a deep impression regarding loyalty and righteousness in China's history.
I learned that Master personally interpreted the role of loyalty, which shows the importance of loyalty in Fa-rectification. This has left a reference for Dafa practitioners and the people of the world. During the current persecution by the communist regime, a fellow practitioner was tortured brutally. He remembered Yue Fei and the word “loyalty.” Therefore, he did not write anything against his will and refused to be “transformed.”
My understanding of loyalty also includes that we must keep our promise. As Dafa practitioners, we must keep our promise to Master and Dafa, because this is our vow, which we gave before we came here. It is the hope of the cosmos.
We practitioners came to help Master with rectifying the Fa. We are one body. When conflicts surface among us, we need to think of the righteousness that was demonstrated by Yue Fei, then our problems will become trifles. We need to be kind and patient. We need to trust, forgive, support, and encourage fellow practitioners in letting go of selfishness and doing Dafa-related things well.
Master has mentioned loyalty and righteousness many times in his Fa lectures. May we demonstrate well the meaning of loyalty and righteousness, and illustrate fully the uprightness of the cosmos. May the mighty virtue of the Fa be glorified for eternity.
The above is my personal understanding, please kindly point out any shortcomings.
