(Minghui.org) Communist regime authorities detained 70-year-old Ms. Zhu Yaming for distributing information about the persecution of Falun Dafa. She was indicted based on trumped-up charges on June 4, 2014.
On June 20, the Panlong District Court issued a notice setting her trial date for June 30. However, it remains unknown whether the trial in fact took place or what the outcome was.
This most recent arrest took place on January 10, 2014, and was her second arrest for her belief in Falun Dafa.
Twice Arrested for Her Belief in Falun Dafa
The first time that Ms. Zhu was arrested was on June 6, 2013. Officers from Hongyun Police Station made the arrest while she was distributing informational materials about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
The police confiscated the materials and her ID card. They then ransacked her home and took Falun Dafa books and informational materials. They extorted 9,000 yuan from her son the following day.
Ms. Zhu was arrested again on January 10, 2014, by officers from the Longtou Street Police Station. She was distributing Falun Dafa materials on a Beijing road at the time.
The police ransacked her home that same night and confiscated many of her personal belongings, including an MP3 and MP4 player, Falun Dafa books, and two bank deposit cards. Her son also had an unknown amount of money extorted from him.
Falun Dafa Restores Her Health
Ms. Zhu had retired from her teaching career when she learned Falun Dafa in 2003. Before that, she had suffered insomnia and problems with her throat, stomach, and gallbladder. She also had kidney problems. Her symptoms disappeared soon after she took up the practice.
Witnessing Ms. Zhu's incredible transformation, many of her family and friends believed in the healing power of Falun Dafa. Her husband and brother-in-law also experienced health improvements, which they attributed to believing in and supporting Falun Dafa.
