(Minghui.org) Klondike Days (also known as K-Days) in Edmonton is an annual summer fair. A big parade kicks off the 10 days of festivities, celebrated this year from July 18-27. The Falun Dafa entry won the President's Award with its lotus flower themed float, dancing celestial maidens, and Tang drum performers.

Co-marshaled by Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and Edmonton Oil Kings, the parade started at 10 a.m. Spectators packed the downtown streets along the route an hour before it started.
“Wow, beautiful!” said Michelle Wong, a five-year-old. She couldn't move her eyes away from the fan dancers in pink, celestial maiden costumes.
The Falun Dafa procession had dancing celestial maidens, a decorated float, Tang drum players, and a flag lineup. All of them were lively and colorful. The Falun Dafa Association won the President's Award, continuing its winning streak.
The local media reported that over 200,000 people watched the parade live or on TV. Many local Chinese, like Ms. Liang and her friends, watched the parade from the curb. As the Tang drum performers marched by, she pointed to them and said, “They are awesome! Falun Gong [practitioners] really have talent.”
Some of the spectators said they had known about Falun Dafa for years in the context of the persecution. They now saw practitioners' colorful float and beautiful performances and commented that Falun Dafa was "beautiful" and "full of positive energy."
