(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa Association of South Korea urged Xi Jinping, head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), to end the persecution of Falun Gong and bring the main perpetrators to justice. A press conference was held on July 3, two days prior to Xi's visit to the country.
In a press statement, Wu Shilie, representative of the Association, said, “Jiang Zemin and his gang put a quarter of China's GDP into persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, using the Party, political, military, police, and espionage apparatus during the peak of the persecution. They brainwashed the entire population with staged self-immolation on Tiananmen Square. Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang are directly responsible for the state-sanctioned crimes of forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.”
At the press conference outside of the Chinese Embassy in Seoul, South Korea, on July 1, 2014, the Falun Dafa Association of South Korea urges CCP head Xi Jinping to end the persecution of Falun Gong and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Wu also said that even though Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, used the Party to persecute Falun Gong, Xi hasn't been involved in the persecution. Therefore, the Association was not protesting his visit to South Korea. However, as the current head of the CCP, Xi has the responsibility to end the persecution and bring Jiang and others to justice.
In addition, he warned the Chinese Embassy in Seoul to remove from its website contents that slander Falun Gong.
Many Chinese tourists learned about the persecution during the press conference. Over 20 Chinese people made the decision to withdraw from the CCP or its affiliated organizations.
