(Minghui.org) I saw a hornet's nest under the eaves of my kitchen window a few day ago. It was the size of a fist. My child searched online about how to remove it. He told me that it couldn't be easily removed because the sting from a hornet can be life-threatening. I was scared.
I was wondering why a hornet would build a nest there, because my apartment is on the top floor. I looked downstairs and saw blooming flowers on the balcony below. My child suggested that the hornets must have been attracted by the flowers. I said, “No, I think I attracted them.” I realized that the hornets came because I had the attachment of playing video games.
I quit this bad habit once, but recently started playing the games again, and there were large hornets in the game I was playing. I realized that the hornets came to my home with the game.
Practicing cultivation is solemn. My fellow practitioners are trying their best to save people, but I was playing games. I felt so ashamed. I understand that I should not let the attachment grow. I need to remember that I am a practitioner, and my time is valuable and should not be wasted.
When I let go of my attachment to playing video games, the hornets left without my having to harm any of them.
I have witnessed that our attachments can attract many bad things.
