(Minghui.org) I am a nurse. One morning in 2012, I just finished my 9 a.m. shift at the hospital and I was getting ready to go home for some food and a bit of rest. Suddenly my right ankle felt weak and failed to support my right foot, making my body lean to the right. I had to reach out to the wall for balance.
I thought to myself: “I am a Dafa practitioner, and what would people think if they should see me like this? I have to walk normally! No matter why this is happening, let me get home first.”
At the moment when that thought crossed my mind, I felt strength return to my ankle and my body straightened. I took my hand away from the wall, and walked normally out of the hospital, feeling just a slight pain in my right ankle.
I live close by the hospital, so I didn’t have far to go. As soon as I walked up the stairs and opened the door to my apartment, every symptom I had at the hospital returned and I couldn’t walk normally anymore.
Not Acknowledging the Old Forces' Persecution
I steadied my heart and thought calmly: “This is definitely not what Master has arranged for me, so suddenly and while I was at work. This will not only affect my image as a Dafa practitioner, but also impact my saving sentient beings, This is the old forces trying to persecute me. No matter what gaps I have, I will rectify them within the Fa. The old forces have no right to interfere, I will only take the path Master has arranged for me.”
I sent forth righteous thoughts while limping around fixing something to eat. Even with my right foot not touching the floor, the pain was quite unbearable. After a while, there was still no improvement.
I then remembered Master talked about benevolent resolutions. I thought, “In my many reincarnations, I might have harmed some lives out of ignorance. If this is a debt I have to pay, I will resolve this debt with benevolence.”
I felt no resentment, only genuine compassion. I silently recited Master’s Fa on benevolent resolutions:
"During the Fa-rectification of the cosmos, I can make a reasonable arrangement for those of you who don't interfere with my validating the Fa; I can have you become beings in the future. Those of you who seek a benevolent resolution should leave me and wait in my surroundings. If you really cannot leave me, then don't have any part in interfering with me. In the future I will be able to achieve Consummation, and I will offer you a benevolent resolution. Those who are completely bad, who still interfere with me and who cannot remain will, according to the standards, have to be eliminated. Even if I don't eliminate you, the Law of the cosmos won't let you remain." (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York)
My foot still hurt. A thought entered my head: “My foot hurts so badly, but we have so many patients now, and we are so busy. There’s no way my foot can stand all the walking. I should take sick leave."
As soon as that thought popped up, I realized that it was evil interference. I rejected the thought at once:"This is not my thought. I will go to work. I must show the healthy image of a Dafa practitioner. I will not allow this type of persecution from the old forces to succeed."
After I finished eating, I started back to the hospital for my 11 a.m. shift. When I got to the stairs to start walking down, I decided I would not hold onto the railings. I would walk down normally.
A miracle happened. I was still limping in my apartment, but I was walking down the stairs without help, although there was still a little soreness in my right foot.
All of a sudden, a warmth rushed all over me. In my excitement, I cried out in silence: "Thank you, Master. Thank you for resolving this tribulation for me."
When I arrived at my work unit, even the mild pain disappeared. The whole episode lasted less than two hours.
