(Minghui.org) Mr. Yin Xiangyang was reported to the police when he talked to people about Falun Gong in Zhangjiagou Village on August 24, 2014. He was arrested and taken to the Donglai Police Station in Longkou, Shandong Province. He was transferred to the Longkou Detention Center the next day.
Mr. Yin, 64, is a farmer who lives in Liujia Village, Longkou. He has been repeatedly arrested, detained, sentenced, and tortured since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in 1999.
Prior Arrest and Torture
Mr. Yin was sentenced to five years in prison in January 2005. He was incarcerated in the provincial prison in Shandong. The guards tortured him both physically and mentally, including subjecting him to sleep deprivation, denial of restroom use, and forcing him to drink ice water.

In January 2006, the guards forced Mr. Yin to squat down for 19 hours every day for more than 20 days.
Again in October 2006, prison director Li Wei ordered prisoners to force Mr. Yin to squat down around the clock. The prisoners cursed at him and jabbed his entire body with needles. After about 100 hours of continuous torture, Mr. Yin's entire body, except for his face and hands, was severely bruised. His left arm and thigh were broken, and he couldn't get up by himself. He needed help to use the toilet.
