(Minghui.org) Since last year, Huizhou authorities have been inciting slander against Falun Gong practitioners in television ads, on street posters and bulletin boards. Officials encourage Huizhou residents to report practitioners to the police if they see them.
Five practitioners in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province have been arrested and persecuted since June 2014. Two practitioners, Ms. Xiong Guizhen and Ms. Gong Aimin, are still detained.
Mr. Huang Shuichi Arrested
Practitioner Mr. Huang Shuichi was speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in front of a Walmart on August 5, 2014. Two female patrol officers arrested Mr. Huang and took him to the He'nan'an Police Station.
Police Director Zhu (first name unknown) had Mr. Huang handcuffed to an iron pipe for a day while police officers and agents from Huizhou City Domestic Security Division interrogated him. They took his insurance card from his pocket.
Mr. Huang's family arrived at the police station at 9 p.m.. The police threatened to give him a one-year sentence if his family did not write a letter of guaranteeing him not to practice Falun Gong. His family did as ordered and the police released him. After Mr. Huang returned home, staff from the local management committee ordered Mr. Huang's family to monitor his moves.
Using the information from his insurance card, police went to Mr. Huang's home while he was detained and ransacked it. They confiscated all Falun Gong books and DVDs, Teacher's photo, and an MP3 player.
