(Minghui.org) The 610 Office and the Shijiazhuang City Police Department make it a point to wire tap, monitor, follow, spy on, and detain Falun Gong practitioners.
As the year 2014 drew to a close, Shijiazhuang authorities worked hard to fill their Falun Gong arrest quotas for the year. Rather than investigating criminal cases such as homicides and robberies, the police sought to create a large court case at year's end by arresting a number of practitioners. They did this to make sure they spent their budget and could therefore “justify” their manpower and budget for the following year.
Deputy chief of the Shijiazhuang Police Department Li Xinle assumed charge of the police and Domestic Security Division of the Yuhua Police Department on the morning of December 29, 2014. That day, all of Li's units ransacked Mr. Wu Jinhu's house and arrested Mr. Wu and six others: Mr. Li Mingfang, Ms. Song Qiuxia, Ms. Zhang Wenying, Ms. Hou Juanjuna, and Ms. Liu Minluo.
Mr. Wu, Ms. Li, and Ms. Song were taken to the Yuhua Police Department and detained in the basement, where their blood was drawn. They were then transferred to the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Hou were released, but Ms. Liu was still detained by the Yuha Street Police Station as of December 30.
On the day of the arrest, Yuejin Road Police Station officers went to Ms. Xiao Fengqin's house in Meiji Community, arrested her, and ransacked her home. They took her to the Shijiazhuang Detention Center.
Ms. Yang Zhenghong, in her 50s, of the Rongguo Garden Community in the Chang'an District, was also arrested and had her home ransacked on December 30.
