(Minghui.org) More and more Chinese tourists are traveling overseas, which creates a great opportunity for practitioners to talk to them about Falun Gong, the persecution, and why they should consider quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
I was touched by some recent reports on Minghui.org about the efforts overseas practitioners have made. Their hard work has won international respect and support. They are bringing a bright future to the world.
As a practitioner in China, I utilize many videos and pictures during truth clarification. Generally, people believe what they see is true. I also noticed that other methods used by overseas practitioners include banners, display boards, leaflets, broadcasts, demonstrations, signature collections, and marches, as well as speeches from some practitioners who suffered under the CCP's persecution.
No doubt all these forms are important. Based on my experiences, however, I think some aspects should be given more attention: How to present large amounts of information timely and accurately. Here, I offer several suggestions:
1. Use Video Equipment at Tourist Sites
I have not seen this method mentioned as being used at tourist sites. Videos can give a strong visual impact and they are intuitive. A laptop, a projector, and a screen can be a perfect stage.
Method 1: Use Laptop and Projector
Video sources can be kept on the laptop, and they can be played and projected onto a bigger screen. Videos should include the following parts in short, punchy style: the self-immolation hoax at Tiananmen Square, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, proof of live organ-harvesting, the so-called "April 25 attack on Zhongnanhai” and other lies from the CCP about Falun Gong, the hidden character rock, and why and how to quit the CCP, among others.
Hang the screen high enough so the audience can see it from far away. This can create a positive energy field and reduce any fear from Chinese tourists. And I think this method will make quitting the CCP easier.
The laptop can also be used for demonstrating how to break through Internet censorship in China as well as how to quit the CCP online. This method really does not require a great deal of investment.
Method 2: Use Television and DVD Player
A DVD (or VCD) can be played in either a DVD player or on a computer. Compared to Method 1, there are some drawbacks to Method 2: the DVDs need to be manually changed; the TV is too heavy to carry around; its screen can be too small; it is hard to place in a high location.
However, this method also has its positives. For example, one can make duplicates of DVDs and distribute them when tourists like what they see. In this way, it is a good idea to prepare some cases for the small DVDs so that tourists can put them in their luggage.
Method 3: Use EVD Portable Video Player
Since the EVD screen is small, it is only useful as a supplement in some cases.
An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) may be used if no power source is available.
2. Promote Internet Anti-Censorship Software
A Minghui report described what a Chinese tourist said after she listened to some practitioners in Denmark: "After listening to you for a long time, I finally understood the truth of the situation."
She quit the CCP on the spot, and added, "A lot of people do not have so much time to stop and listen. They do not understand the truth."
Today's people are busy and often impulsive. Having lived in China, they are unwittingly brainwashed and deluded by the CCP's propaganda. Sometimes, it is difficult for them to process the truthful information from the outside world right away. They may reject listening to the truth or not understand everything. However, anti-blocking software can provide them with the opportunity to learn the truth over a longer period of time.
I read about some people who looked for practitioners to ask for anti-blocking software. Once, a person said he just came out of China. He said he wanted to get the anti-censorship software so he could read more uncensored news after he returns.
In China there are about 400 million people who use the Internet. Therefore, anti-blocking software is a golden key, and it is well worth promoting. This can be done in several ways:
—Copy the software directly. Prepare a disk that contains informative materials, the proper software, and instructions for how to use it. Then make a large board reading,"Free copy of anti-censorship software and videos on how to use it for your computer."
—Copy the materials to visitors' computers directly. May also prepare some small USB memory sticks that contain the materials.
—Tell tourists about some email addresses and passwords so that they can login and download the software themselves. One can set up many such emails. If one gets blocked, then it is easy to change to another one. Usually one mailbox can be used many times before it gets blocked. It is a good idea to set up password protection for the mailboxes so no one else can change the password.
—Print and distribute small cards that contain instructions on how to obtain software to access Dongtaiwang through email. Minghui.org has introductions on how to make such cards.
—Display information on exhibition boards for how to obtain the software. The information can be obtained from the lower part of the Dynaweb front page. Remind tourists they can take a photo of the board.
—Display on a board: "The Internet is not blocked overseas, and you can freely search for any topic without using special software. Please visit www.minghui.org." Print the addresses of such websites on small pieces of paper or name cards and distribute them to tourists. Then, they can visit the websites in a hotel, for example. They will treasure their opportunities to read uncensored news.
—Collect tourists' email addresses and cell phone numbers. Make a record book with an obvious cover so tourists can write down their contact information when practitioners are busy. The collected phone numbers can be used for truth clarification calls or for sending links to Dynaweb. Such a message might read: "These are the current valid web addresses and IP numbers for Dynaweb. Please record them and text your friends and family members so they can climb the wall right away. Do not forget to download the latest versions of anti-blocking software. Please spread the word and let more people see the real world!"
3. Some Methods to Make Quitting CCP More Efficient
—Many younger Chinese use anti-censorship software. They already know the CCP is evil, but they have yet to declare their intentions to quit the CCP. For these people, they will understand and quit as soon as we tell them. I suggest playing a video on how to quit. Minghui has such a video for download (www.minghui.org/mh/articles/2013/8/24/视频资料-赶快“三退”把命保-278572.html). I also suggest practitioners in China download it and distribute it on VCDs, so more people will know how to quit.
—Minghui has a special booklet on quitting the CCP. It can be printed and distributed.
—Collect articles that outline the cause and effect nature of quitting or not quitting the CCP, then make them into booklets. Reading these can shock those who have not yet decided to quit.
—Hong Kong practitioners can tell tourists on the street where "forbidden books" are sold. It will help Chinese tourists access more insight about the world outside China.
4. Ideas for Materials on Banners and Boards
Boards: Traitorous Jiang Zemin; The Arrest and Punishment of Wang Lijun, Bo Xilai, and Zhou Yongkang; Resolutions from UN and U.S. Congress; Falun Dafa around the world; etc.
Banners: Loving China is not the same as loving the CCP; The CCP is not the same as China; The CCP is the true anti-China force. Such messages hold deep meaning for the Chinese people.
