(Minghui.org) Ms. Yang Shiyun, currently a Yunnan resident, had a blood sample taken in 2014 when she returned to her hometown in Guizhou Province. The following is her experience.
Falun Dafa Targeted
I am a 68 year-old retired teacher from an elementary school in Hezhang, Guizhou Province. Before practicing Falun Dafa, I suffered from asthma, lumbar disc herniation, kidney stones, gastric ulcer, cataracts, and other illnesses. However, I returned to good health after I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998.
I went back to my hometown in Bijie to put up my father's tombstone in July 2014. On the second day after my arrival, I received a phone call asking where I was. I thought it was a former school buddy. However, I realized later that the call was from the Magu Police Station.
I went out for some business the following day when police Chief Li Yong and four officers came to my relative's house. They told my relative to find me. However, I had turned off my cell phone, and so I missed the call.
Arriving back at my relatives home, they told me that the police wanted to take my blood sample. The officers said they needed to verify my identification for my former workplace, and that if I did not comply, my school would stop my pension.
I called Duan Shihai, head of the school's finance department, who confirmed the situation. Officers Xiong Guowang and Zhao Mei from the Magu Police Station then came to see me that afternoon. They also claimed that the “police department acted out of concern for people.” I felt some trust for Zhao Mei, because he was one of my former students. I let them take my blood sample and also signed documents.
I later learned that it was the police who wanted to take my blood sample and asked my former school to collude with them.
The police station maintains a list of local Falun Dafa practitioners. They ordered all practitioners to sign documents and have their blood drawn.
I was deceived because of my kindness and my trust in my former student. Their malicious act is reprehensible.
