(Minghui.org) Tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are now exercising their legal rights to sue Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong.
These lawsuits are mailed to the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate, which are required to process all criminal complaints filed by citizens, per a recent ruling by the Supreme People's Court.
However, it has become known that the above mentioned courts have illegally returned the complaints to the respective local authorities, and quite a few practitioners have been detained and persecuted as a result.
Local Security Officer Violates Practitioner's Rights
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Shiying, from Yangshulin Township, Nongan County, was arrested in October 2015 for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin.
When on her way to her sister's home to look after her mother, she stopped at Ms. Xue Hongxing's home, a fellow practitioner. A local security guard followed Ms. Sun and summarily called for a dozen security officers.
The officers arrested Ms. Xue and her son, and took them to the police station. They demanded that Ms. Xue and her husband “admit” that Ms. Sun gave them all the Falun Gong materials. Ms. Xue and her husband refused.
Ms. Sun's mother, 88, is critically ill and needs around-the-clock care. Ms. Sun's sister and her husband asked that Ms. Sun be released because she needed to take care of her mother, but the police refused and transferred Ms. Sun and Ms. Xue to the Nongan Detention Center.
Ms. Sun and her husband, Mr. Wang Qipo, have been persecuted many times for practicing Falun Gong over the years. Mr. Wang was tortured to death at the age of 47, in 2007, while he was serving a seven-year illegal prison sentence.
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other members of the Politburo Standing Committee and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the communist regime established an extralegal security organization, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
