(Minghui.org) It was evening rush hour on December 8 when two women on a moped were pulled over by six men coming out of two unmarked cars. Without saying anything, they began to punch and kick the women.
Curious onlookers gathered around. A tricycle driver was threatened by one of the thugs, “Why are you standing so close to us? Do you also want a good beating?”
It was later confirmed that the six men were officers from Chaoyang District Police Department in Shantou City.
The two women are Ms. Zhang Xiaoling and Ms. Li Yifeng. Both of them practice Falun Gong, a spiritual belief system being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
Prior to their latest arrest, they had both been previously arrested and given forced labor for refusing to give up Falun Gong. Their families suspected that the police had been monitoring them all along before the assault on the streets.
Ms. Zhang and Ms. Li are being held at Chaoyang Detention Center.
