(Minghui.org) Many police officers in China continue to persecute Dafa practitioners, especially practitioners who sue Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime who launched the persecution. However, the conscience of many officers has awakened, and they no longer follow the dictates of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Police Officer: “We won't bother you again.”
Mr. Li Ming, a Falun Dafa practitioner, received four phone calls from the village Party secretary in August 2015. The secretary asked him to come to the village committee office, because the local police wanted to see him.
The secretary knew that Falun Dafa was a good practice, so he asked Mr. Li to hide all the Dafa-related materials in his home. The secretary told him that the police had already investigated his family and knew that his daughter was printing Falun Dafa informational materials.
Mr. Li suspected that the officers had found out that his family filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. He remained calm and knew that everything was in Master Li's hands (Mr. Li Hongzhi is the founder of Falun Dafa). However, the village officials were concerned and worried about his family. The secretary was very upset that someone had apparently tipped off the police about Mr. Li's filing a lawsuit against Jiang.
He went to the village committee, and four police officers arrived shortly afterwards. One was holding a video camera, and it fell to the ground as soon as he took it out. Another officer said they wanted to search Mr. Li's home. “No problem, just follow me,” Mr. Li said.
Once they arrived, an officer asked if he still practiced Falun Dafa. Mr. Li said that he had practiced it for the past 16 years, and there was no reason to quit such a good practice, especially since his family had benefited so much from it.
Mr. Li said, “My grandson accidentally drank some paraquat (a toxic herbicide) a few years ago. He was transferred from the county hospital to the Tangshan No. 255 Military Hospital, and it took the doctors three days to diagnose the problem. He survived, and I knew that Master Li had protected him. One doctor said that in his 25 years of medical practice, he had never heard of anyone surviving after drinking paraquat.”
He continued, “My daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma a few years ago, and her illness disappeared after she learned the practice. My wife, who is 65, had her burial garment made more than a decade ago. After she learned Falun Dafa, her skin looked radiant. She became healthy and energetic, and now has the strength of a young person. We follow the Falun Dafa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Is there anything wrong with that?”
No one said a word for almost ten minutes.
Mr. Li then asked them the purpose of their visit, and said that he was ready to answer any questions they had. The officers said nothing. They just chuckled and changed the topic.
One of the officers said, “Since you've been practicing for a long time, there is no way we can force you to stop. Why don't you continue with your practice, and we won't bother you again.”
Police Chief Begged Practitioner to Go Home
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zheng Wei heard in August 2015 that Mr. Wang, another practitioner, had been harassed by local police for filing a lawsuit against Jiang. The police wanted to know who had helped Mr. Wang write his criminal complaint letter.
Mr. Zheng went to the police station and spoke to the police chief. He said, “I helped Mr. Wang file the lawsuit against Jiang. And do you know why I helped him?”
He went on to explain that Mr. Wang had suffered from a serious illness many years prior. His illness disappeared after he began practicing Falun Dafa. Jiang banned the practice and persecuted countless practitioners. Mr. Zheng then asked, “Why would Mr. Wang not sue Jiang the former dictator?”
Mr. Zheng told the police chief that he should sue Jiang as well, because he is also a victim of the CCP's persecution of Dafa, and talked about the cultivation practice. The police chief begged him to go home.
