(Minghui.org) During our Falun Dafa cultivation, many practitioners feel that their cultivation progresses in leaps and bounds. Sometimes, they feel that they have advanced, and then they face the same or a similar problem again.
For example, it does not appear to be difficult to relinquish all attachments and firmly cultivate. But, it is sometimes difficult to harmonize different aspects, and use the reasoning that could be understood by non-practitioners and untie the knots in their minds.
What I want to say is that I often find myself unable to explain clearly about Falun Gong when I talk to potential clients for the Epoch Times advertisement section. I also feel less confident when writing articles to clarify the truth.
Master emphasized that we should not speak of high-level things that practitioners have come to understand during their cultivation.
Master said,
“As Dafa disciples now go about validating the Fa and saving sentient beings, the goal of their initiatives is clear, but those efforts themselves, as with how you carry things out, need to be understandable to people.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the NTDTV Meeting”)
That's why I believe that we should not talk above people’s level. If we casually talk about Gods and Buddhas, people may not understand us. We should keep the high-level principles in our heart, but talk to people in ways they can understand.
If we work on a contract, we should not try to collect petition signatures, or convince our clients to practice Falun Gong. Our role is that of a businessperson. This is a business meeting, not a cultivation experience sharing conference. Based on this position, we can clarify the facts more effectively.
Recently, two Epoch Times salespersons closed a $300,000 contract the day before Chinese New Year. Prior to the meeting, the client indicated that he felt uneasy when dealing with the Epoch Times, and his employees had different views of the Epoch Times newspaper. Therefore, they explained the relationship between the Epoch Times and Falun Gong.
After the client understood that the Epoch Times is a newspaper, not Falun Gong, the discussion moved on to cooperation between the paper and his business. His job is to make products, and our job is to promote his products. We work together. He understood it, so the contract was signed.
