(Minghui.org) Editor's note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Four reports of Chinese Communist Party officials meeting with retribution for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners have come to light from Hebei, Liaoning, and Guizhou Provinces.
The perpetrators include police chiefs responsible for arresting and torturing practitioners, an agent from the Procuratorate who subjected practitioners to illegal sentences, and a head of the 610 Office – the agency that executes the regime's persecution policy by overriding the public security and judicial systems.
1. Prosecutor Dies after Being Struck by Car
Jia Dongsheng, around 60, was a prosecutor with the Anping County Procuratorate in Hebei Province.
Although he had retired, he insisted on returning to work and continued to sentence Falun Gong practitioners on false charges.
Jia was responsible for sentencing six Falun Gong practitioners, including Ms. Wang Fang, Ms. Wang Yuluan (disabled), and Wang Lushen and Qiao Zhanhe who are both 70 years old, Zheng Suya and Zhu Jianhui. Zheng Suya and Zhu Jianhui are still in detention.
He ignored Falun Gong practitioners' repeated reminders regarding karmic retribution and justified his actions as, “I'm just doing my job.”
Jia was hit by a car when he was out walking on the evening of March 20, 2015. He died of his injuries after he was rushed to a hospital.
2. Police Chief Died of Kidney Disease
Qu Dexin, 59, was police chief of the Yuanbao and Zhenxing district police departments in Dandong City, Liaoning Province. He was active in the persecution Falun Gong since July 20, 1999, and received regular public security “rewards” for his exploits.
During Qu's tenure as police chief between June 2006 and 2011, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners from his districts were sentenced. Scores of practitioners had their homes ransacked, were detained, and sent to forced labor camps.
Many practitioners were fired from their jobs, were forced to stay away from home to avoid the persecution, had their families torn apart, and had their loved ones killed as a result of Qu's decisions.
Qu Dexin was diagnosed with renal tuberculosis in late September 2009. He collapsed one day as he directed the police to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. He was rushed to the Central Hospital and had surgery on September 27. Despite the medical intervention, he died of the disease in 2011.
3. Head of 610 Office Died of Cancer
Wang Jiaqi, head of the 610 Office of the Mining Bureau of Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, died of cancer in March 2003. He was less than 60 years old. His death stirred another round of talk in the neighborhood that "working in China's 610 Office is working in a 'death trap.'”
4. Family Suffers as a Result of Police Chief's Wrongdoing
Lu Chengzhu, chief of the Hongyan Police Department in Liupanshui City, arrested and tortured practitioners and burned Falun Gong books and materials. His wife died of cancer in 2003 at the age of 40.
Lu's teenage son suffered a severe brain injury in September 2008 after a brick fell on his head near a construction site. The two classmates he was walking with were unharmed.
