(Minghui.org) Editor's note: Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely “following orders,” the universal law of “what goes around comes around” requires that they be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape karmic retribution.
The persecution of Falun Gong has affected millions in China since its inception in July 1999. Many local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials are involved in carrying out the persecution. Here are a few recently reported cases of retribution that resulted from persecuting practitioners.
Division Head Dies of Muscle Disease
Zhu Guangbo, a former human resources division head at a state-owned enterprise, died at Chengdu Hospital in Sichuan Province on March 22, 2015. He had developed a rare muscle disease prior to his death.
His death caused quite a stir among other perpetrators.
Zhu withheld salaries and pensions of Falun Gong practitioners and fired two practitioners on account of their beliefs when he was in charge of human resources at a printing and engraving company in Wenjiang, Sichuan Province.
He also collaborated with the local public security bureau to arrest practitioners. One such practitioner was arrested in 2006 and sent to a forced labor camp for a year and nine months.
Misfortune hit Zhu's family members first. Three days after Zhu facilitated the arrest of practitioners in 2006, his family members were in a car accident where three of them died at the scene. Another was severely injured and has been bedridden ever since.
Party Secretary Dies on Stairwell
Chen Fucai, a former CCP discipline secretary with the Surveying and Mapping Institute of Langfang, Heibei Province, died on the stairwell in his apartment building in 2000.
Chen closely followed the CCP's policy of persecution at his institute. For example, Mr. Wang Shihai went to Beijing in 2000 to appeal for Falun Gong's reputation, shortly after the persecution began in 1999. Mr. Wang was apprehended in Beijing and was then brought back to Langfang by the authorities. The car he was in had an accident and his bones were fractured and he lost consciousness. He was then thrown on the side of the road and left for dead.
One of Mr. Wang's family members found him and took him home. However, Chen still wouldn't let Mr. Wang off the hook. Chen visited his home several times to threaten him with his job, trying to force him to give up his belief in Falun Gong.
On the same night of his last visit to Mr. Wang's home, Chen left home for a walk and was later found dead on the stairwell in his apartment building.
Political and Legal Committee Affairs Secretary Arrested
The Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC) has been the main body carrying out the persecution under the guise of “maintaining stability.”
Huang Chaoqing was a former PLAC secretary in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. He has been on the front-line of carrying out the persecution there.
For example, he held meetings with the city's public security bureau and 610 Office staffers in April 2014. The main agenda of these meetings was to plan and execute surveillance and harassment of Falun Gong practitioners.
Huang was recently arrested for bribery.
Party Secretaries Receive Retribution
Former Party secretary Gan Weidong of Sichuan Chemical persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in his company. Practitioner Mr. Wei Denghui managed to escape from arrest on May 13, 2007. However, Gan found her and sent her to a local detention center with the police.
Despite his efforts to persecute practitioners, Gan was never promoted. He retired in 2013. He had a stroke in January 2015 that's left him a mute and paralyzed.
Xia Jicai, a former Party secretary at the Supply and Marketing Co-op in Chengdu City, has been active in persecuting practitioners. For example, in order to get practitioner Xu Biju, an employee at his company, arrested in July 2014, he paid money to the local public security bureau.
Xia was suspended from work in January 2015 and is now under investigation.
