(Minghui.org) The courthouse was heavily guarded by police and plainclothes government officials when Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Bai Guiyin was tried for the second time on April 1, 2015.
Cameras in hand, personnel from the Pengzhou 610 Office (an extralegal agency created to carry out the persecution of Falun Gong) videotaped pedestrians passing by the courthouse. They stopped each person and asked if he or she practiced Falun Gong. Those who identified themselves as practitioners were barred from attending the trial. Some were driven away by the officials.
When a crippled elderly man sat on a bench near the courthouse to rest, plainclothes officers rushed over, took pictures of him, and verbally abused him. He was forced to leave after they shoved him to the ground.
The trial lasted the entire day, adjourning at 4 p.m. No verdict was announced. The date of the next session is not yet known.
Four plainclothes officers followed Mr. Bai's lawyer in a taxi as he left the courthouse.
