(Minghui.org) Four Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested between April 25 and 29, 2015 in the Zishui and Xianshan districts of Guangshan County, Henan Province. Their homes were ransacked and family members harassed by police.
The arrests were ordered by the Guangshan County Political and Legal Affairs Committee's 610 Office, an extralegal agency formed by the communist regime specifically to suppress Falun Gong practitioners.
Ms. Hu Daoxiu’s home was ransacked on the morning of April 25. Police seized approximately 2,000 yuan of paper currency marked with messages about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Hu was not at home at the time, and her husband, who does not practice Falun Gong, was arrested. The police extorted 600 yuan from her family and released her husband the next day.
Those who participated in the arrest were the head of the Guangshan County Domestic Security Division Wu Weiguo, instructor Huang Miao, and several officers from the Zishui Police Station.
Mr. Chen Lianghe, in his 70s, was arrested at his home by several officers on the afternoon of April 25. The police ransacked his home and took him to the Guangshan County Detention Center.
Mr. Pei Guangan’s home was ransacked by officers from the Xianshan Police Station at around 10 p.m. on April 25. Finding nothing to confiscate, the police demanded, “Where are your other apartments?” One of Mr. Pei's family members replied, “We barely earn enough to feed our family! We don't have money to buy luxurious apartments like those corrupt Communist Party officials!”
Mr. Wang Xincheng was arrested at his home at around 10 p.m. on April 27 for possessing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. His whereabouts is still unknown.
Ms. Xiong Benzhen was arrested at work by two uniformed officers and three plainclothes officers at around 10 p.m. on April 29, 2015. Mr. Liu, a doctor, was also arrested at his workplace that day.
