(Minghui.org) When some practitioners experience illness symptoms, others often tell them things that do not seem on the Fa, “It's ok to go to hospital,” they say. “Ease up and then continue cultivation once you recover your health.”
Others have said, “The Chinese Communist Party spreads rumors that we do not take medicine or go to the hospital when we get sick. If we really do this, aren't we falling into their trap? What would people think of us? We must prove them wrong and go to the hospital if we need to. Let the world see that Dafa disciples are not like what the CCP says.”
“Hospitals also exist at a certain level of the Fa,” others have said. “Master told us to conform to the state of ordinary people. The Fa does not say that we can't go to hospitals when we are sick.”
Another said, “Some practitioners get through the tribulation after being hospitalized. Others who did not go to hospital died. Saving people is so important— how can we afford to lose a single Dafa disciple?”
Every time I hear advice like this, I think that these practitioners do not have a clear understanding of the Fa, and they are essentially dragging down practitioners who are experiencing such tribulations. It seems that they are actually helping the old forces—at least based on my understanding.
Master has explained sickness karma very clearly:
“But how could a divine being have ordinary people administer treatment on him? And how could ordinary people heal a divine being's sickness? (Applause) (Teacher laughs) These are Fa principles.” (“Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles”)
There are many examples where problems have been solved by helping fellow practitioners improve their understanding of the Fa, and find their attachments and loopholes. We could also send forth righteous thoughts together and ask Master to strengthen them, or give them hints to find the cause of the sickness.
Most importantly, we can pass the test once we improve. We then establish mighty virtue in solid cultivation. How can we improve when we go to the hospital?
We all encounter great trials in cultivation. When we go through tests with righteous thoughts, we display faith in Master and Dafa. By cultivating right through any situation, we also validate the mighty virtue of Dafa and Master.
Medical treatment can only push back the sickness karma. Yet it is still there, and will return more intensely. At the same time, such situations leave loopholes for the old forces to take advantage of.
Master said:
“Do you know what the old forces think? They think, 'Goodness, you, their master, have explained the Fa on sickness karma so explicitly.' Yes, it's true that back then when I was faced with students having a tough time passing tests of sickness karma I did explain these things in very clear terms, and the students present here today know that.” (“Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles”)
The old forces will not let us go without passing the test. Some local practitioners have repeatedly been hospitalized and sought some momentary relief. However, most of them lacked strong righteous thoughts, held many human thoughts, and could not let go of life or death. Some eventually passed away.
I have noticed that the majority of practitioners who advise others to go to the hospital are not diligent, and do not have a clear understanding of the Fa. The process of helping fellow practitioners is also a process of improving oneself. Please do not lead them to an incorrect understanding of the Fa.
Practitioners in the midst of a test often have a weak main consciousness and insufficient righteous thoughts. They need help from the Fa. If they listen to such a suggestion and go to the hospital, and fail the test, has one done a bad thing or a good thing? The old forces may not spare such a person either.
These are things I have noticed. Please correct me if there is any mistake.
