(Minghui.org) Police from Suiling and Qing'an of Heilongjiang Province arrested 11 Falun Gong practitioners, including the mother of a U.S resident, on the same day.
According to Ms. Sun Ying, who works in the United States, her mother Ms. Meng Zhaohua was taken away from home in the wee hours of July 16, 2015. When her family visited her recently, they learned from the guards that her arrest was ordered by the Heilongjiang Province Public Ministry.
Ms. Sun is calling for U.S. members of Congress to help rescue her mother and other detained practitioners.
The July 16 arrest of Ms. Sun and 10 other practitioners was a long-planned attack on local Falun Gong practitioners. According to insiders, the higher-ups became flustered when they saw Falun Gong banners put up everywhere in Suiling and Qing'an on May 13 to commemorate World Falun Day.
Yang Dongqi (Heilongjiang Province Political and Legal Affairs Committee Secretary) urged the Heilongjiang Province Public Ministry to “crack the case” as soon as possible. The Public Ministry then stationed three agents in Suiling County to investigate who hung up the banners. After weeks of monitoring, they carried out the arrests on July 16.
Most practitioners, such as Ms. Meng, were arrested in the middle of the night. Zhuang Jintian and Wang Shufang were seized while trying to get their household registration renewed at the local police station. The police proceeded to ransack the couple's home and confiscated their mobile phones, printers and CD burners.
