(Minghui.org) The Chinese communist regime has been defaming Falun Dafa practitioners using deceptive propaganda, and causing everyday people to believe that practitioners have mental illness, and are bad people, and even murderers. Due to lack of contact with genuine practitioners, and being accustomed to accepting propaganda information unconditionally, many people believe the defamation, until they have the chance to meet and interact with some true practitioners. The following are some examples of real life experiences.
Example #1: “I can guarantee she has never stolen even a penny for herself!”
Practitioner Chunfang was an inventory supervisor for the warehouse of a company in Cangzhou City. Her boss was once attending a dinner with business partners where one person said that Falun Gong practitioners liked to take small things home from work, the opposite to what they claim. The boss spoke up, disagreeing with that person, and said, “My warehouse inventory supervisor is a Falun Gong practitioner. I can guarantee she has never taken anything, not even a penny, that wasn't hers!”
Example #2: “Falun Gong practitioner? Then I have no worries.”
Lanfang is a vendor. One day she and her husband went to a wholesale company to buy shoes to sell. She walked into the warehouse with her backpack. She forgot she was supposed to leave the backpack at the door, as required by the wholesale company, to prevent shoplifting. The owner yelled to her, “Please leave your bag outside!” Her husband, who was with her, went to the owner and said, “That's my wife. She's a Falun Gong practitioner. Don't worry, she won't steal anything from you.” The owner smiled, “Oh, a Falun Gong practitioner! Then I know I have nothing to worry about.”
At one time the husband was afraid to let others know that his wife was a practitioner. He now proudly shares this story with many people, and adds, “Falun Gong practitioner is truly a trustworthy title.”
Example #3: “None of us would do anything to hurt you. We want to continue to eat your delicious food.”
Shuhui runs a small family restaurant selling steamed buns. Shuhui uses only the best quality products for making the buns. Business is excellent. Customers often have to, and are willing to, wait in long lines to purchase the delicious buns.
One young police officer in the local township station is particularly fond of these buns, and comes to Shuhui's restaurant every morning, even though there are other restaurants closer. As a favor for his colleagues he also buys buns for them. One morning he was late in arriving at the restaurant, and the buns were sold out. Shuhui went ahead and sold him the buns that she had saved for her own family. He was very touched. He said to Shushui, “We police officers know that you probably have something to do with the Falun Gong stickers and flyers about town. But we won't do anything about it. Then he winked at her and said, “We don't want to give up these delicious steamed buns.” He took a big bite from one of the buns and walked out, feeling content that he had the best steamed buns in town.
Example #4: “You were the only one who was working the whole time.”
Grandma Tian is almost 70 years old, and still works in the field, keeping up with all the others in the field. She used to have poor health, but after taking up Falun Gong, she regained her health and strength.
The village recently offered to pay villagers a good rate to build a much needed road. The village head invited Tian in person to do the work and she agreed. After several days she had to quit because she needed to take her grandson to school in the morning, while his mother was away, and would not be able to arrive at work on time.
The village head went to see her and asked her to return to working on the road again. He said that the team leader told him that she was the only one who worked the whole time, while others were often standing around chatting. Tian told him that she had to take her grandson to school and would be 30 minutes late every morning. He said to her, “That is no problem, just get here when you can.”
Example #5: “We have seen a live Bodhisattva today.”
Liu is well known as a kind and caring person in her village. While her neighbor was having a new house built, she brought the workers water to drink as well as allowing their scooters and bikes to be parked in her courtyard.
One day it suddenly started raining hard while the construction team was working on lifting and positioning the main beam of the house. They could not leave their work to shelter their vehicles from the rain. Liu found material such as boards and plastic sheets to cover all of their scooters and bikes, more than a dozen.
The contractor then rushed to tend to the vehicles. He saw Liu soaking wet after covering their vehicles, and was very touched at her kindness. When told of her good deed, one of the workers remarked, “We have seen a live Bodhisattva today. The rain could have caused plenty of damage to our scooters.” Another said, “People with spiritual beliefs are different from others.” And another chimed in with, “The government shouldn't have persecuted these people who have great beliefs.” They all nodded and agreed.
Example #6: “You are an honest person. You deserve the largest bonus!”
Li had been a civil service employee before being sentenced to four years of imprisonment due to his belief in Falun Gong. After being released, he found a temporary job at a company. In a short period of time, he was promoted to be a department manager.
At the end of last year, all employees received bonuses ranging from 30 yuan to over 1,000 yuan. Li received no such bonus. However, he did not complain or even give it a second thought. That evening Li was surprised upon receiving an invite to the owner's office. The owner said to Li, “You are a most honest person and a decent worker. You deserve the largest bonus!” Then he handed Li a heavy envelope of cash.
