(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Feng Ping was illegally arrested at the Ximei Town Post Office by officers from the Ximei Town Police Station on July 29, 2015.
Ms. Feng was arrested because she mailed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the Chinese Communist Party.
While being detained in the police station, Ms. Feng was handcuffed to a table, and her feet were shackled. An officer interrogated her. “Who told you to sue Jiang Zemin?” he yelled. “Who wrote the complaint letter for you? If you do not answer my questions, I will not release you, and you will die from being inside the hot detention room. Then all your family members will be deprived of their salaries.”
Officers later put Ms. Feng in a police car and drove to her parent’s home. They videotaped and ransacked the home and confiscated Falun Gong books and Falun Gong exercise music players. Afterward, they took Ms. Feng back to the police station.
Ms. Feng told officers that her parents are in their 80s, and that she needs to attend to her mother. An officer said, “You can go home to discuss with your parents and then come back here to answer all our questions.”
The next day, the police went to her parent’s home to arrest her, but to no avail. Ms. Feng had to leave home to avoid further persecution.
According to the two officers who arrested Ms. Feng, they opened and went through 20 more express mail packages that contained complaint letters at the post office that day.
The Chinese Constitution states that Chinese citizens have the freedom of private correspondence. To intercept letters is illegal. The Chinese Constitution also stipulates that citizens have the right to expose any misconduct and infringement by state officials.
