(Minghui.org) Five practitioners in Tongcheng County, Hubei Province were arrested by police and taken 130 miles to the domestic security division of the Yueyang County Police Department. The families of the practitioners were deprived twice of visiting rights.
The first time, the families rented a car and drove from Tongcheng County to Yueyang County on July 9, 2015. The staff in the domestic security division refused to meet with them until 5 p.m., the end of visiting hours.
The police asked them to sign a detention warrant before seeing the practitioners. After they signed, they were asked to hand over the clothing that they had brought for the practitioners and leave.
The police took three female practitioners to a vehicle. Ms. Hu Guanxia's mother just spoke a sentence to her before the police tried to arrest her.
The family members went to the Yueyang County Domestic Security Division a second time on July 28. They told police that people's freedom of belief and speech are protected by the Constitution. The police officers ignored them.
They asked the family members how they entered the compound without carrying their identification. They said that the door was open and they just walked in. They tried to tell police the facts about Falun Gong, but the police threatened to arrest them.
The five arrested practitioners were: Mr. Hu Baori, Ms. Li Yanhe, Ms. Hu Guanxia, Mr. Ai Lianfang, and Ms. Wang Xifei.
These practitioners were arrested on July 7 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.
The two male practitioners are detained in the Yueyang Detention Center, and the three female practitioners in the Yunxi Detention Center in Yueyang City.
