(Minghui.org) Five Falun Gong practitioners from Qian'an were illegally arrested for talking to the public about the persecution of Falun Gong. Two of the practitioners' homes were ransacked.
Ms. Li Qingyun
Officer Pu Yonglai and others arrested Ms. Li in Sanlizhuang Market on February 12, 2015, when she was giving out informational materials about the Chinese regime's persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Qian’an Detention Center and held for four days.
Mr. Song Naiwen
Mr. Song was reported to police at the market in April 2015. He was arrested by officers from the Xiaguanying Police Station and taken to the Domestic Security Division.
Police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. He was later released because he had high blood pressure.
Mr. Song was arrested again in a store on June 12, 2015 and taken to the Domestic Security Division. His home was ransacked, and he was again released due to high blood pressure.
Ms. Li Xiuhua
Ms. Li was arrested at a riverside on May 18, 2015. She was taken to a detention center, but was later released after failing the physical exam.
Ms. Meng Qingyun
Ms. Meng was arrested in Renmin Square on May 25, 2015, taken to the Chengguan Police Department, and interrogated. She had blood samples forcibly taken and was later released due to high blood pressure.
Ms. Luo Yingmin
Ms. Luo was reported to the authorities for handing out anti-censorship software on a train as she was traveling to her mother’s home in Beijing on February 15, 2015. She was taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center and held for 15 days.
Ms. Luo was arrested again on July 17, 2015, for distributing informational materials at a county fair. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other materials, computer, and car.
Ms. Luo was released and her car and computer were returned after the police extorted over 10,000 yuan from her daughter.
