(Minghui.org) As of August 17, 2015, more than 160,000 people from inside and outside of China have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist regime, according to the Minghui website.
Although many officials and officers have stopped persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and many have become supportive because of the Falun Gong practitioners truth clarification efforts, there are still those who follow the Jiang Zemin policy of persecuting practitioners.
Detained, Monitored, Harassed
Fourteen Falun Gong practitioners filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin with the Shandong Province High Court and Procuratorate on July 16, 2015. Upon returning to their hometown of Zhaoyuan City, they were illegally arrested, detained, monitored, or harassed by police.
Nine practitioners were taken to the Lingnanjinkuang Brainwashing Center on July 16 and 17: Ms. Yan Xuefen, Ms. Yan Xuerong, Mr. Liu Ximin, Ms. Chi Ruimei, Ms. Qiu Cuimin, Ms. Lan Meiyu, Ms. Wang Meiju, Mr. Wu Kelin, and Ms. Liu Wanli.
Five practitioners were monitored and harassed.
Officers from the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division interrogated the detained practitioners for a week. The practitioners were charged with “using a cult organization to undermine law enforcement,” an excuse routinely used by the Communist regime to arbitrarily arrest and imprison practitioners nationwide as part of its violent campaign against Falun Gong.
Brief Details
Nine of the practitioners were taken to the Fushan Detention Center in Yantai City on July 23.
Ms. Qiu Cuimin was released on bail, pending trial, the same day because of high blood pressure.
Ms. Wang Meiju, Ms. Lan Meiyu, and Ms. Liu Wanli were released on bail the next day, pending trial, because of high blood pressure and heart disease.
The other five practitioners have been detained for 30 days as of date of this article.
Ms. Li Shuling, who left home to avoid further persecution, was arrested by plainclothes officers on August 16 when she went back home to get some clothes.
In addition, the police ransacked Ms. Yan Xuefen’s home and confiscated personal items worth approximately 55,000 yuan.
The police confiscated practitioners cell phones and downloaded the stored contact information. Such information can be used to wiretap, monitor, track, and harass practitioners and their relatives and friends.
