Terry Cho, a senior from National Taiwan Normal University, changed dramatically after he began to practice Falun Gong.
A New Life
Because of allergies, Terry always had nasal congestion, runny nose, and dizziness. Since the third grade, he had to take four packs of Chinese medicine daily. Although his condition improved slightly after a couple years, he still needed medication on a regular basis.
His chronic condition led to anxiety and depression. Terry did not speak much and was pessimistic about the future.
At his second year in high school, Terry heard about Falun Gong from his history teacher and began to learn it.
By that time, his nasal allergies had led to a throat infection. He had to take antibiotics every day and the doctor was concerned about his breathing getting cut off. However, all of his symptoms were gone two weeks after he started to practice Falun Gong.
Getting Involved in Efforts to End the Persecution
After being admitted to National Taiwan Normal University, one of the top education institutions, Terry was glad to find many Falun Gong practitioners on the campus. Shortly after hearing about the trip to Hong Kong, he signed up for it. Although his parents are not practitioners, they supported the idea and helped pay his expenses for the two-week trip.

Terry distributed materials at bus stops and tourist sites in Hong Kong.
A mother and daughter sign petitions to help end the persecution of Falun Gong.
“One day I talked with a young boy, a tourist from China, about the persecution in China. The boy then asked me to help him quit the Young Pioneers organization of the Chinese Communist Party,” said Terry.
Although he spent a lot of time walking and talking to people every day in Hong Kong, Terry did not feel tired. “I have to tell these people facts because the communist regime has been brainwashing them with lies. I will make the trip again to reach more Chinese people,” he said.
