(Minghui.org) A Changchun resident has been formally arrested for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Ms. Cui Ronghua, in her 50s, now faces charges for her faith.
A group of agents from the Taoyuanlu Police Station shut off electricity to Ms. Cui’s apartment on the night of September 10, 2016. When Ms. Cui’s family came out to investigate, the police broke in and arrested her, terrifying her elderly mother in the process.
Two officers returned about one hour later to search Ms. Cui’s home for a second time. They also brought her back home, taking pictures of her and confiscated items. Ms. Cui knew that they were trying to fabricate evidence against her, and she kept telling them that she did nothing wrong by owning Falun Gong books and materials.
Ms. Cui remains at Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center, where she has been denied family visits.
Her family is calling on Falun Gong practitioners both inside and outside of China to call the local police and seek her release.
