(Minghui.org) Two little sisters in Qinhuangdao City lost contact with their mother on August 4, 2016. A gentleman whom their mother entrusted to help them shop for necessities was also arrested on the same day, as soon as he stepped out of the supermarket.
Ms. Lu Jairong was targeted because she practices Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Her latest arrest marks another dark moment in her daughter's young life.
Jianlian, 9, and her sister Meilian, 13, witnessed their now deceased-father’s last arrest on April 22, 2014. They kept crying, “Our dad is a good person! He broke no law! Why are you arresting him?”
Mr. Wang Haijin also practiced Falun Gong just like his wife Ms. Lu, and they were both repeatedly detained for their faith.
The police staked out the family’s bakery and apartment building after arresting Mr. Wang. Jianlian and Meilian were afraid to open the door every morning to go to school.
The two girls were happy to see their father released home three months later, but they were frightened to note that he was no longer the same strong and energetic man. The 90-day detention filled with torture sessions had destroyed their father’s health. He passed away on October 9, 2014.
Mr. Wang’s elderly mother, who is in her 80s, is struggling to take care of herself and her two granddaughters. Ms. Lu’s friends are calling for her immediate release.
