(Minghui.org) A Tianjin resident was made to attend her second hearing on October 25 without knowledge of her family or lawyer.
Ms. Wang Shumin was arrested on November 4, 2014 for talking to people about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
She was released on 10,000 yuan bail the next day, but she didn’t receive her indictment until March 3, 2016. She appeared in court on March 15.
The court notified Ms. Wang in April to get ready for a second hearing. She left home to protest against the court’s violation of her constitutional right to freedom of belief.
The police tracked her down and arrested her again on October 2.
Ms. Wang’s lawyer visited her at the Wuqing Detention Center on the afternoon of October 25 and learned that she had been made to attend a second hearing that morning.
The judge refused to meet with the lawyer.
