(Minghui.org) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who makes phone calls to China, so that the Chinese people can hear the truth about Falun Gong, the persecution and the importance of quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
After dialing a phone number recently, a female answered. I said, “How are you doing? Can I have two minutes of your time? I have something important to tell you, so you will be safe and have a good future.”
“Is this a real person or a recording?” she asked. “If this is not a recording then I'd like to talk to you.”
After I confirmed that I was a real, live person, she asked me to hold on a minute as she was at a friend's house and wanted to go outside so we could talk.
On continuing our conversation, I asked if she was a member of the Chinese Communist Party and began explaining why it was in her best interest to withdraw her membership and disassociate with the Party.
She told me that she had received many phone calls before, but they were all recordings so she just hung up. “I've been wanting to talk to someone,” she said. “I've wanted to ask – what is Falun Gong? I hear conflicting information and need clarification.”
I told her how Falun Gong teaches people to be good, and that it was Jiang Zemin, the former head of the CCP that started the persecution out of jealousy. We reach out to people so they won't be deceived by lies fabricated by the CCP and will take a stance against its crimes against the people.
She thanked me for helping her understand the real situation behind the persecution.
Combining Recorded Messages with Live Discussion
Practitioners who make phone calls to China should advise the person on the other end of the line that they can ask questions after listening to the recorded messages.
When making phone calls, almost everyone who listened to me explain the facts about Falun Gong mentioned that they had received recorded phone messages many times.
Recorded messages about Falun Gong have played an important role in helping people understand the truth about the practice. However, over time, many people have received such calls repeatedly, but there was no one on the other end to answer their questions. This has proved to be a waste of time and resources in many instances, and has had a negative impact on some of the receivers.
People have asked me many times if I am a live caller or a recording. Many do listen to the recordings, but still have questions and would like to speak to someone about them.
When I address their questions they are very grateful, so I suggest practitioners who are calling China and playing recordings start talking to people more frequently. This could help make our calls more effective in saving people.
