(Minghui.org) A boiler exploded in a brick factory in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, on November 21, 2009. The explosion resulted in one death, three minor injuries, and about 900,000 yuan in financial loss.
I am from Hubei Province. I was responsible for the safety inspection for the brick factory before the incident. When it exploded, I was the closest to the door of the boiler. A man standing farther away from the boiler than me was killed.
Common sense suggests that I was the one in greatest danger. I remember hearing a roar and everything shook when it blew. The explosion blasted me over 50 meters away. I landed on a low asbestos roof and then rolled to the ground.
When I woke up, I found myself in a bed in Xiushui County Hospital. The doctor examined me and told me that I suffered only skin trauma. I was discharged three days later.
I was later told that under the roof I landed on was a pigsty made of double layers of pebbles. A big pig in the sty died in the explosion. Almost all the windows in the village were broken.
I was really scared after hearing the reports after the explosion.
I realized that it is not a coincidence that I was unharmed in the disaster. I believe it is because I agree with Falun Gong's principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and have protected Falun Gong practitioners from harm.
I heard about Falun Gong before the persecution started in 1999 and have read the book Zhuan Falun once. It resonated with me. Although I haven’t practiced yet, I always remember its principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and try to follow it in my daily life. In the meantime, I protected local Falun Gong practitioners to the best of my ability while I was at a high level position so they were not interfered with.
My entire family and I thank the teacher of Falun Gong!
