(Minghui.org) On February 20, the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan brought the Chinese New Year season to a close with the Lantern Festival, featuring a nearly mile-long parade with the stirring music of Falun Gong's Divine Land Marching Band and 10,000 people carrying lanterns.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators packed the downtown area for the four-hour celebration. The mayor of Kaohsiung, the largest city in Southern Taiwan, started the festivities by striking a large gong.
Jubilant spectators clapped and cheered as the band marched by, over 100 members strong, playing their exhilarating music. At the end of the parade, the host thanked the Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners for “bringing light” to Kaohsiung's Lantern Festival, then led the thousands of spectators to call out in unison: “Falun Dafa is good!”
