(Minghui.org) During Ms. Sun Ying's childhood, her uncle died because of being force-fed in a forced labor camp. Furthermore, her mother was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison for practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Sun had a miserable and lonely childhood. She had to quit school at a young age and worked odd jobs to survive.
Ms. Sun filed a criminal complaint with the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate on January 25, 2016 against the former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong. Below is her account as disclosed in her complaint.
Brief Recap of Complaint
The former dictator Jiang Zemin launched the persecution against Falun Gong in July 1999. My mother went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested and imprisoned for two months. Since the persecution was severe, my mother sent me to my grandmother's home in northeast China in 2000.
My mother, Ms. Lu Fengling, suffered from a skin disease when I was young. Her body was covered with pimples and it was very itchy. She searched everywhere for help and often went to Beijing for medical treatment, but to no avail. She suffered from insomnia. Then, my mother practiced Falun Gong and she recovered from her illnesses. I also benefited from my mother practicing Falun Gong and rarely became sick.
Uncle Persecuted to Death
My uncle, Mr. Lu Chenglin, was sent to a to forced labor camp for practicing Falun Gong. Then, my aunt, Ms. Lu Fengyun, was also arrested and detained for the same reason.
My uncle died because of force-feeding in the Yichun Forced Labor Camp, Heilongjiang Province, on the second day of Chinese New Year in 2001. My grandmother collapsed when she heard the news. My mother came immediately to grandmother's home. But my oldest aunt, Ms. Lu Caixia, could not visit since the police had threatened to arrest her. Moreover, the police also did not allow my grandmother to see her son. My grandmother was devastated and could not look after me anymore.
Mother Sentenced to 10-Year Imprisonment
My mother was arrested at home in the summer of 2001, and the police ransacked our home. They confiscated the cooking pan with our meal in it. My mother was first detained in a brainwashing center. Later, she was sentenced to a 10-year prison term for refusing to sign a statement giving up her belief in Falun Gong.
I had to stay with my father and stepmother. My father was a taxi driver and did not have time to take care of me. I came down with acute appendicitis and it was very painful. But I had to endure it alone.
Eventually, I had to quit my studies while in junior high school.
I was forced to support myself after I quit school. I needed to work and save up money to visit my mother in prison. Every Chinese New Year, I felt very lonely and missed my mother.
My mother is a good person. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her. Jiang Zemin launched the persecution against Falun Gong and destroyed millions of happy families just like mine. I must sue him for the crimes he committed.
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
