(Minghui.org) After Falun Gong practitioners started filing lawsuits against Jiang Zemin in May 2015, many police officers changed their attitude and became sympathetic toward Falun Gong.
When police officers visited practitioners who had filed lawsuits, practitioners were able to help them understand the truth about the persecution. Some police officers even agreed to quit the communist party and its affiliated organizations.
Before the Chinese New Year in 2016, a villager named Liu went to his local police station to act as an informant about Falun Gong practitioners’ activities. He was hoping to get a financial reward.
To his disappointment, the police told him there would be no reward for his information.
“I will not tell you anything if you don’t give me money,” Liu said.
Mr. Liu’s older brother scolded his younger brother when he heard about the incident, “How could you have done such a thing? Falun Gong practitioners want to improve their moral standards and health. What’s wrong with that? I am so ashamed of you.”
Liu was speechless.
Another man called the police station hoping to act as an informant about Falun Gong practitioners. The uninterested police officer hung up on the caller several times, but he kept calling.
Finally the officer told him, “If you don’t stop calling, I will come and arrest you.”
The man was so frightened that he has not called the station since.
