(Minghui.org) The persecution of Falun Gong in China has been going on since July 1999. Over the past decade, Falun Gong practitioners have been persevering in letting people know the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution in peaceful and rational ways – ways which have helped more and more people see through the lies and propaganda from the Chinese state-run media.
I will share two of these stories below.
Both Police Station and 610 Office Declined to Arrest Practitioner
An elderly practitioner was reported to the police while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in March 2016. She was taken to the local police station.
She wasn't interrogated and police didn't make any record of her stay. A while later, another police officer came and said to her, “Falun Gong is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” and then left.
The police then informed the local 610 Office about the practitioner. The staff in the 610 Office told them to take the practitioner to them, but the police wanted the 610 Office staff to collect her themselves. In the end, both of them refused to do anything to the practitioner.
The room where the practitioner was gradually became quiet, with only two police officers in the room. One was playing on his cell phone, while the other was talking to him.
The practitioner said to them,“You carry on talking, I'll take my leave now.”
The two officers just carried on with what they were doing. The practitioner walked out of the room, closed the door behind her and went home.
Superiors No Longer “Taking Care of This Issue”
I asked an old man that I met in the street, “Do you know about the many lawsuits filed against Jiang Zemin?”
“Yes,” he replied. “I have seen information about this a few times in the park when I was walking my dog. A street cleaner has told me that they don't report Falun Gong practitioners to the police any more if they see them putting up posters, as their superiors no longer take care of this issue.”
