(Minghui.org) A four-year-old Beijing boy endured the most terrifying 36 hours of his young life. He was with his mother when a group of officers closed in on them. The police had received reports that Ms. Liu Gexin was talking to people about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
The police van clipped little Xiaoyu by accident and knocked him over. He suffered bruises on his face, arm and knee.
Four-year-old Xiaoyu received multiple injuries, including bruises on his face, knee, and arm when the police van knocked him over.
The mother and son were both taken to the police station at 8:00 p.m. on June 3. While Ms. Liu was being interrogated, the little boy was taken to a different room to be questioned.
The officers tried to get Xiaoyu to disclose his parents’ names, occupations, their practice of Falun Gong, and home address.
Ms. Liu’s family received a phone call from the police the following night, directing them to pick up Xiaoyu at a local orphanage, which specifically serves children whose parents are being imprisoned.
The family rushed there about one hour later, only to be told the police had changed their minds.
The police didn’t allow Xiaoyu to be picked up until 8:00 a.m. on June 5. While he is recovering from this traumatizing experience, his mother remains in detention for refusing to renounce Falun Gong.
