(Minghui.org) Eight residents from Dayi County are confirmed to have had their blood forcibly drawn following their arrest on June 23 for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin.
Yu Shihua, Mei Yufang, Zhang Yulan, Ms. Han, Yu Shuangrong, Luo Simei, Luo Wumei, and Ms. Zhu are accusing the former Chinese dictator of initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that resulted in their past detentions.
These Falun Gong practitioners suspect the involuntary blood draw has something to do with the database the authorities are reportedly building for the purpose of harvesting organs from practitioners for profit.
Ms. Yu Shihua, 76, recounted what happened to her upon her release.
I was walking back home on June 23 when a police car pulled over next to me. Three officers got out and grabbed me. They drove me home, where another police car was already waiting outside. They ordered me to open the door and one officer began filming me.
Several more police cars arrived in less than 20 minutes. About one dozen fully armed police came out, and one of them flashed a piece of paper claiming they had a search warrant to raid my house. I wanted to take a look at the warrant, but he refused.
They confiscated my Falun Gong books, portrait of Master Li (founder of Falun Gong), a new TV, a MP3 player and two cell phones. They returned the phones to me two hours later, but not the other items.
I was next taken to the police station for interrogation. One officer declared my lawsuit against Jiang to be defamation. I corrected him because everything I wrote in the complaint was factual and accurate.
I refused to sign their interrogation records and was ordered to sit in the courtyard. I witnessed two other practitioners having their blood drawn and was determined to not comply with the police.
When it was my turn, I did everything I could to get away. The police summoned a big woman to work on me, but she too failed.
The police changed their tactic and allowed me to sit by myself for a while. Then all of a sudden, two officers grabbed my arms while I wasn’t paying attention. I struggled hard but a third officer still got my blood drawn.
I couldn’t believe what had just happened to me. Twenty minutes later, the local street committee director came to pick me up per the police’s orders.
I couldn’t eat or sleep well after my release. There were bruises on my arms, back, and legs as a result of my struggle with the police. The hospital diagnosed me with soft tissue injuries.
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 17 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
