(Minghui.org) Since the Communist Party in China banned Falun Gong in 1999, at least 4,000 practitioners have lost their lives because of torture in police custody. Practitioners often reach out to communities to tell the public about the severe human rights violation, including the killing of practitioners for their organs.
Lörrach
Adjacent to the French and Swiss borders, Lörrach is known for its natural scenery and Milka chocolate. Practitioners set up a booth on the city center square on August 6 to raise awareness of the persecution in China.

One man he had studied Chinese history in the past and paid close attention to the country, but he did not know why Falun Gong is suppressed in China. A practitioner explained that the totalitarian communist regime did not allow different opinions and instead suppresses citizens using violence and hate propaganda, as it had in numerous political campaigns in the past.
The man commented, “It seems all these problems come from the Chinese Communist Party. This communist regime should be banned.” Upon learning of the regime's killing of practitioners and selling their organs for profit, he said the Party is doomed because of its crimes.
Several Swiss tourists said they had heard about the persecution in the past but did not know that it is still going on. After a practitioner told them that the Communist Party suppressed Falun Gong because so many people practiced it, one tourist said he knew the regime well: “the Communist Party is always like that—they have no principles and just want to control people.” He hopes practitioners can tell more people what is going on China, especially forced organ harvesting.
Many pedestrians signed petitions to help practitioners.
A Japanese restaurant owner came by and said she liked traditional Chinese culture very much. She later returned and asked for more materials on Falun Gong so that she could place them in her restaurant. She also gave a delicate paper crane to a practitioner and said, “This represent good luck, because I hope the persecution in China will stop soon.” The practitioner handed her a paper lotus flower, which stands for purity and happiness. She accepted it gladly.
Konstanz
Konstanz in Germany is the biggest city near Lake Constance (known as Bodensee in German), a popular tourist attraction between Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. Practitioners from these three countries came to the Old Town in this city on July 23 to tell passersby about Falun Gong and the persecution.
After hearing the suppression has been going on in China for 17 years, many people signed petitions that would be sent to government agencies and human rights organizations.

Two Chinese students who study at Konstanz stopped to talk with one practitioner. In the beginning, they did not believe that practitioners are abused so brutally in China. After a while, they returned to the table, read more materials, and asked further questions.
When the two students came to the table for the third time, they had more discussions on how practitioners in China were tortured for their belief and agreed that the suppression should stop.
