(Minghui.org) A Lishu County, Jilin Province, resident was arrested 1,000 miles away in his son’s home in Henan Province, 13 months after he filed a criminal complaint against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong 17 years ago.
Simply for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, Mr. Chen Mingxian, 73, was arrested multiple times, fired from his job as an assistant school principal, held in a forced labor camp for 18 months, and incarcerated in a prison for four years. He was forced to watch brainwashing materials and brutally tortured.
Mr. Chen holds Jiang responsible for his ordeal and mailed out his lawsuit against Jiang on August 5, 2015.
The local authorities targeted him again upon learning of his lawsuit. Unable to find him at home, they began to tap his and his children’s phones. They discovered that he had moved to Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, to be with his son.
Agents traveled almost 1,000 miles to Zhengzhou on September 7, broke into the son's apartment, and arrested Mr. Chen.
They transported Mr. Chen back to Lishu County and called in his daughter to sign her father's “release form.” She wrote down her name but was not allowed to take her father home. It turned out the police had deceived her into signing Mr. Chen’s detention paperwork.
Mr. Chen remains in the Lishu County Detention Center at the present time.
