(Minghui.org) A 25-year-old man in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province went missing for days before his family found out he had been arrested and is now held at Tianhe District Detention Center.
Mr. Wu Chaoqi was posting a sticker reading “The Chinese Communist Party is the real evil cult” in a park when he was seized by park security and sent to Tianyuan Police Station.
Mr. Wu is a practitioner of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. He decided to put up the sticker after noticing hate propaganda against Falun Gong posted in the park. The Chinese Communist Party labeled Falun Gong an “evil cult” as part of its propaganda campaign to justify its violent suppression of the practice.
The police body searched him and confiscated his wallet, driver’s license and cell phone. The officers also grabbed his hair, slammed his head against a wall, and kicked him numerous times.
When Mr. Wu protested the assault, one officer said, “I just want to beat you. So what?!”
The officers showered Mr. Wu with another round of punches and kicks the following morning. They then sent him to Tianhe District Detention Center without notifying his family, who discovered his whereabouts only in recent days.
