(Minghui.org) I work for Mr. Li, who owns a home renovation company. He and I recently went to a building supply store to purchase materials costing a total of 6,800 yuan.
The following day, as I was meditating, a thought flashed through my mind, that the amount I paid for the materials was not correct.
I carefully checked the receipt and realized that I was charged 500 yuan less than I should have been. I contacted Mr. Li and told him about the mistake. I explained that as a Falun Gong practitioner I should tell the truth and think of others first.
Mr. Li said, “You have worked here for so many years. I know you work hard and that you Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Only a Falun Gong practitioner would be so honest.”
I went back to the store and asked the owner to check the amount we paid. He wasn't happy, and didn't want to do it.
I asked him again, and he reluctantly checked his record book and found that he had undercharged me. He looked at me in surprise and said, “You came here to give me more money?”
“Yes,” I replied, “I practice Falun Gong. I don't want to cheat you. I must pay the correct amount we owe you.”
“You Falun Gong practitioners are all good people!” he exclaimed.
I told him that by following the principles of Falun Gong, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” we strive to be good people. I said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) doesn't want us to be kind and honest, but instead wants us to fight with each other. I explained how Falun Gong practitioners are often illegally arrested, detained, tortured, and killed.
He agreed with me, and said that he knew the Party was evil. He said his father was wrongfully jailed for eight years, and passed away soon after being released.
He said, “The CCP is very brutal. What they've done is inhumane. We can't trust them or believe what they say.”
When I suggested that he quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, he immediately agreed to do so.
