(Minghui.org) A higher court in Zhumadian City, Henan Province revoked the guilty verdict against a local Falun Gong practitioner, citing insufficient evidence.
Ms. Zhai Xinhua, in her 70s, was sentenced to three years in prison in late December 2016 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. She appealed to Zhumadian Intermediate Court, which issued its decision on March 31, 2017.
While Yicheng District Court prepares for a retrial, Ms. Zhai remains at Zhumadian Detention Center following her arrest on February 8, 2016.
