(Minghui.org) Ms. Hao Yingwu (also known as Hao Mingmei) was arrested again for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Her health quickly declined – she is suffering from a heart problem and a slipped disk. Her hands also keep constantly shaking.
The local authorities, however, have refused to grant her medical parole. Her family is extremely concerned about her well-being.
Latest Arrest Comes 11 Months after Previous Arrest
Ms. Hao, a 51-year-old English teacher, was at her rental place on March 22, 2017 when her landlord came to “collect utility bills.” She trusted him and opened the door, only to see around seven plainclothes officers rush in and turn everything upside down without showing any search warrant.
The police claimed that Ms. Hao’s latest arrest was simply a closure to her previous arrest on April 21, 2016, when she was seized while waiting to board a train to see her ill mother. She was released on bail five days later after she was diagnosed with a severe slipped disc.
As Ms. Hao continued her efforts to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong, the police kept her on their radar and re-arrested her this March.
