(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners’ attachment to time, as well as their hope for the persecution to end soon, created a loophole for the old forces. Master thus postponed the end of Fa-rectification. We have learned the lesson. However, some practitioners recently spread rumors that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would collapse in either 2017 or 2018, and the attachment for the persecution to end is recurring. I would like to share my personal understanding of Master’s teachings regarding this issue.
Most importantly, practitioners should let go of the thought about the end of the persecution. The Fa gives us wisdom and enlightens us if we study the Fa diligently. The Fa’s harmonious power can help answer all the questions we have.
Master's Hints
Master said nine years ago:
“At present, as the Fa-rectification constantly forges ahead, the surface dimension has the look of something that would be punctured from just a little poke. There is little of it left.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference VIII)
Master's words told me that if all practitioners were diligent and did well, the Fa-rectification would have reached this dimension already.
Master said:
“As I indicated, the Fa rectification of the cosmos is now in the latter stage, and is concluding soon, and it is transitioning toward the Fa’s rectification of the human world. So during this period you have all the more reason to do well.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the New York Fa Conference Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Dafa’s Spreading”)
The above remark by Master hints more clearly about future events, because he wishes that practitioners would do well. We should know that Master is in control of the Fa-rectification. It is he who arranges the future of the new universe.
We do not know how much longer it will take for the Fa-rectification to reach this dimension. Nevertheless, I believe that the key is how many people have been saved, and whether those practitioners who are lagging behind can catch up.
Master said:
“I remember that someone once asked me how many people it would take quitting the CCP to make the Party fall. I showed five fingers; I didn’t give him a number.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the New York Fa Conference Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Dafa’s Spreading”)
If we calculate the number of people quitting the CCP daily, based on the statistics collected by the Epoch Times newspaper, it will take five more years for the persecution to end.
I am guessing that Master might mean 500 million people. Master must have a reason to share this number with us at this time. Practitioners must treasure the time left to do the three things well and focus on how to save more sentient beings more efficiently.
Master said:
“As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference II)
My misunderstanding of this lecture was that the old forces’ persecution of practitioners would not last for another 10 years. This actually indicated that I had unintentionally accepted the old forces’ arrangement. Now, I realize that the source of this attachment is my eagerness for the persecution to end. In my eyes, this refers to the attachment of loss and gain.
Master said:
He who regards notordinary sorrows and joysA cultivator is he
He who has not attachmentto worldly loss and gainAn Arhat is he (“Breaking Free of the Three Realms” from Hong Yin)
Sometimes I ponder if on the day I leave this human world, although the persecution has not yet ended, whether I would denounce Dafa.
This raises the question, “Why do we cultivate?” If the goal for our cultivation is to gain Righteous Fruition and reach Consummation, a practitioner's death would help us to reach the goal. However, the fear of death is a strong desire for lives in this world.
Master said:
“The evil has been trying everything possible to bring you down. Some gods don't want you to rise through cultivation. Don't think, 'They want what's good for us and want us to rise through cultivation.’ That is not true! They are trying everything possible to bring you down and not let you rise. You need to keep that in mind, and that's how it is in reality. Gods in different realms have the thoughts specific to different realms. In the Fa-rectification they cannot see the ultimate truth of the cosmos, and some of them just don't think the Fa-rectification and Dafa disciples are deserving.”(Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles)
The old forces are adamant that we do not deserve to be part of the Fa-rectification process if we cannot truly let go of our human bodies. We are cultivating in the Fa of the new universe. Our task is to rectify the Fa in this world. How many of us have indeed let go of life and death to safeguard Dafa?
Master said:
“If a cultivator can let go of the thought of life and death under any circumstance, evil is sure to be afraid of him. If every student is able to do this, evil will of itself no longer exist.” (“Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
Master's words are an indication that many practitioners are still afraid of death, and this is why the persecution still lingers.
Whenever the Fa-rectification ends, we should not be attached to whether China's government will clear Dafa's name.
Master said:
“Don’t harbor any false hopes about the evil CCP. This sinister demon came here to destroy mankind. As you clarify the facts, you must get the world's people to see its nature clearly. Dafa disciples shouldn’t harbor any fantasies about it.” (“Stay Clearheaded”)
Many articles published on the Minghui website expound on Master’s extending the time before ending Fa-rectification. However, from the perspective of the Fa, this is merely a matter of timing, and the ultimate time for the Fa-rectification will not change.
Master said:
“Whatever day history is to end on, that day cannot be delayed no matter what. There can only be changes made to specific things or what unfolds in the process. Things that are not done well will impact things later on, but this overall time frame cannot be extended. This isn’t a matter of Master being compassionate or not. The reality is, in the end, if anything that has been saved or re-formed is not what I want or does not reach my standard, it will have been for naught since it will have to be destroyed. This time cannot be exceeded. So, for the beings that cannot be saved, that’s just how it is.” (“20th Anniversary Fa Teaching” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference XI)
Master's words are a warning to practitioners that we must dig deeply into the root of our attachments and eliminate them.
